Getting Frameworks Right
Public sector reform and improved public financial management are seen as key areas for improving governance and creating an environment that facilitates sustainable economic growth and poverty reduction. These are among the most challenging areas in development cooperation to address.
Scanteam has carried out a number of tasks in this field from providing assistance for better public strategic planning and policy development, to assessments of public financial management and public administration systems.

Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative
Scanteam was contracted by the EITI Board in early 2011 to assess results at country level and look at the EITI's management and governance structures. - The recommendations in the report formed the basis for the forward-looking strategic review that EITI subsequently undertook.
