A key area of work is helping organisations develop their internal skills and capacity by upgrading knowledge, supporting decision making, and strengthening the methods used internally for managing the organisation.

 We assist in developing methodology and methodology understanding. We carry ou training, including developing the training materials. We facilitate internal discussions and strategy development, and can organise such events for maximum impact. And we can alleviate the day-to-day work pressures by doing some of the basic analytical work required for oragnizations to make better decisions through "office support services".

Long-term Partnerships

In many organisations, staff rotation is quite high, even at head offices. Scanteam has a long-term relationship with several Norwegian actors where we provide training, ensure that methodology knowledge is kept up-to-date and provide some of the "institutional memory". We have on a number of occasions been asked to provide copies of earlier studies done, or make recommendations on studies, handbooks and other reference material that an officer or an organisation wants access to.

We are pleased to provide this kind of sustained support that on the one hand is based on trust and appreciation for the quality of the work done, but also allows us to get a better understanding of the issues the organisation faces and the approaches it takes. This allows us to improve our understanding and hence our ability to provide appropriate and useful proposals to the specific tasks we are asked to address.
